Nello Cassese- Cipriani (1*) Aniello Cassese, also known as Nello, became interested in cooking when he was only four years old, and at the age of 20 he received the Best Young Chef in Tuscany award. Before arriving in Rio de Janeiro, Nello gained experience at Gordon Ramsay's three-starred restaurant as well as in other London one-starred restaurants of the English chef, such as Petrus and Maze.
In November 2016 he arrived in Rio de Janeiro to take over Ristorante Hotel Cipriani, inside Belmond Copacabana Palace. Here, he carries out a thorough research of ingredients and is always on the search for the best produce of the market.
Nello has been awarded as Best New Chef by Veja Rio Comer & Beber, and in May 2019, Ristorante Hotel Cipriani received the long-awaited Michelin star for the first time.
Luiz Filipe took his first steps in Fasano restaurant and has worked alongside with chef Salvatore Loi for eight years. He specializes in low temperature cooking at The International Culinary Center in New York and has worked at Reale restaurant in Italy, Niko Romito's famous three-starred restaurant.
In 2018 he won the Bocuse d'Or in Brazil, the world's most important culinary competition. That same year, he was chosen as one of the Young Promising Chefs by Forbes Brazil in the gastronomic category "Under 30".
He does not consider himself to be Italian, but a Brazilian in love with Italian cuisine. His trendy restaurant, Evvai, is currently the center of attention and appraisals by specialized critics, and this year it received a Michelin star.
