Sebastián La Rocca is a well-known Argentinian chef with a nomad heart, drawing inspiration from his Italian roots at his restaurants in Costa Rica, where he lives.
At the age of 5, his curiosity led him to the kitchen, where he spent time learning to cook with his grandmother, who ignited his passion for food. His professional experience has included working alongside important figures such as Jamie Oliver, in addition to serving as a chef at a range of world-renowned hotels and restaurants. In 2019, he opened his restaurant, Botaniko, which was ranked among Latin America's “Top 20 Restaurants” by New Worlder, a New York-based guide. In 2020, Sebastián opened Rokka, Costa Rica’s “Best Restaurant,” according to OpenTable. His experience led him to be named one of the 50 Most Influential Latin Chefs in the World according to Miami New Times.
