Jaime Pesaque

Mayta - Lima

Jaime Pesaque was born in Peru. After studying gastronomy, he was trained in Europe and has been an apprentice in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and Spain, including El Celler de Can Roca. In 2018, Pesaque opened Mayta, his signature restaurant in Peru, where he combines native products with contemporary culinary techniques to create sophisticated dishes. Pesaque has exported his distinctive cuisine beyond Peru to both the United States and Italy. In 2019, Mayta was ranked on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants List.
