Vineet Bhatia
Culinary Ambassador - UK
Culinary Ambassador - GREAT Britain & Northern Ireland Campaign
Chef Vineet Bhatia is widely recognized as the ‘Father’ of Progressive Indian culinary and was the first Indian Chef to receive a Michelin Star in the 120-year history of the prestigious guide. Bhatia has also made history by being the only Indian chef to hold a Michelin star for each of his restaurants in London and in Geneva.
Bhatia’s most recent media appearances have been as a judge on Netflix’s The Final Table and the latest season of MasterChef India, which is an extremely popular series in the country.
Bhatia’s culinary vision has helped transform Indian cuisine, challenging perceptions and transgressing it to new heights, making room for it on the international market with a modern and creative twist. Chef Vineet has authored two leading cookbooks, Rasoi: New Indian Kitchen and My Sweet Kitchen. My Sweet Kitchen was a winner in the National Category at Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, in 2017.
Along his culinary journey, Bhatia has partnered with some of the world’s most iconic and exclusive hotels and establishments in the world, such as Harrods, Mandarin Oriental, and Marriott to establish world- renowned restaurants globally. His restaurant in Chelsea, Rasoi, was featured in the Sunday Times Top 10 restaurants in the United Kingdom. Working as a Culinary Ambassador to British Airways and Qatar Airways for 16 years, his food has also been curated in the sky from the last ever meal served on a Concorde to the latest meals in first-class suites.
Vineet has headlined some of the world’s most celebrated gastronomical events and experiences such as Red Bull’s Hangar 7 in Salzburg, Madrid Fusion, San Sebastián Gastronomika, Taste of London and Dubai and the Q Experience in Antarctica.
His philanthropic ventures have also taken him across the world for great causes; setting up a 3-day pop-up restaurant at Mount Everest Base Camp, cooking at the Street Kitchen in New York for the homeless, and being an ambassador for the India Heart Child foundation.
