Caralarga
Caralarga is a textile design and production workshop inspired by the raw materials of nature. They seek to conserve their essence and highlight their goodness transforming them into pieces of high quality craftsmanship. They are located in the Old Spinning and Weaving Factory ""El Hércules"" in Querétaro, Mexico. In 2014, they found in these materials the possibility to rethink and explore waste as a means to create unique, timeless and sustainable jewelry and apparel pieces. The cotton yarn they use is a natural fiber, and is made in an environmentally responsible factory that does not generate toxic waste. The sansevieria fiber is dyed and treated by Taller Maya artisans, which is fine, soft and resistant; it has been used for centuries to make hammocks and baskets in the Yucatan Peninsula in southern Mexico.
